June was loads of fun but also super busy.
I juggled 2 jobs at work, my own and one of the bosses. It was really full on but I really enjoyed the challenge, getting to work with different people, help others, and be part of bigger picture planning.
Study continued to drag me down a little. It is a very full on and time consuming course, intellectually not difficult, just needs more time than I ever imagined. So I find that a little frustrating.
The month started beautifully and Andrew and I had a big day out, shopping at Heroes and Mosh Pit before heading into Nobbys for a late lunch and afternoon walk along the break wall.
The following day I caught my first soccer game in a long time. As always my niece was in fine form.
We were lucky enough at work to have Stephen Cassettari doing a Chinese Brush Painting showcase, so clever, so zen.
We found the old Toronto railway has a built in walk along it and started at Fassifern Station and went exploring along it. It was a stunning afternoon, not too hot, and we were under the cool of a lovely green canapy most of the way. Sometimes walking in bush, sometimes walking on the edge of people's homes and gardens. It was a sheer delight, great way to exercise, and we cannot wait to go back to where we finished off and continue.
Towards the end of the month I headed back down to Sydney to meet Andrew. We stayed at the same lovely Deco Hotel and had some great Chinese that evening. The Saturday was what we were there for, SupaNova Comic Con. My first and it was pure joy. We got a little dressed up, and headed to see many other geeks far more dressed up. There was much to see, buy, take part in. What I loved most was how inclusive the event was. I saw a lot of people who could blend in with the crowd with cosplay...or not. It was so fabulous. We were back at the hotel by mid afternoon, and a miserable, cold rainy day meant we stayed put, relaxed and ate in the hotel bistro that night.
We headed to Circular Quay the next day, had a lovely brunch at the Creperie, and then headed home. It was too wet and cold.
Mum had a lovely birthday dinner out at the Chinese at Wallsend.
And then COVID hit...
I did get a market in.
Here are my reviews for the month.
And some pics.
